MAIN PRE-FESTIVAL BUILD WEEKEND = 22nd to 26th January 2026

CORE CREW ON SITE OVER THE FESTIVAL = 10th to 18th February 2026

ACTUAL FESTIVAL DATES = 13th to 16th February 2026


Volunteers are welcome to join over the dates specified above, especially if you are a builder and even more so if you can bring your tools. We'll feed and house you for the full time you are on site minus the actual festival dates... so please bring camping gear for the 13th to 16th February.


ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST ATTEND A BRIEFING AT 1PM AT THE GATE ON FRIDAY 13TH FEBRUARY 2026

ROlES

PRE-FESTIVAL

  • Builders

    Those with good building skills, to help us get the bars, additonal toilets, and bridges built. 

  • Painters / Illustrators

    To help decorate the woodwork our wonderful builders have created. 


DURING THE FESTIVAL

  • Gate Attendant

    Manage the flow of traffic coming into or our of the main car park gate. 

  • Tickets & Consent

    All ticket staff will need to have a charged phone and the app "Humaitix for Hosts" downloaded. Please log in using your own details. 


    Please add a NITT sticker of each person's phone camera.


    Once you have scanned guests' tickets, if they do not hold a TN.W Consent Pass, please ask them to recite two of our main rules:


    1. RAISE A HAND

    Raise the palm of your hand to deny a request, advancement, or to stop an action already in

    motion. No reason is required when raising a hand, so do not ask for one.


    2. INTOXICATION = NO PLAY

    Anyone interacting sexually with someone noticeably intoxicated will be removed from site with no refund.


    3. NO GLASS

    Naked In The Trees is on a working farm and horse training ground so we are very strict on there being no glass on site.


    4. LEAVE NO TRACE

    Please be tidy Kiwis and take home everything you bring to site. Please also leave the land as

    you found it.... ie. we'd love all rocks, trees and treasures (outside of our Treasure Hunt) to be

    left as you found them.


    Finally, remind guests that there is no photography allowed on site. We have official event photographers that understand our consent rules. 

  • AWOP Wristbands & Info Angels

    The AWOP wristbands will turn the festival cashless. The job here is to issue the bands and handle topups. 


    Based at the Information Tent in The Village, help guests to navigate the festival and everything it has to offer. 


    Info Angels must have a clear understanding of the festival site, so please walk it before your shift to know where paths and bridges, etc. are placed.


    Doubling up as our Info Angels, you will get people coming in for the following reasons and more. For anything not listed below, that you can’t figure out the answer to, please message the General chat on our NITT WhatsApp Community.

    • Treasure Hunt winners — prizes include things like future event tickets. Please clearly note the winner’s name, email address, Instagram handle (if applicable), and what prize they have won. Please keep their Treasure Hunt card.
    •  Relax — some guests may just want to sit and chat to get out of the sun or away from the music.
    • Look at the festival map & event schedule.
    • To be directed to the medic tent.
    • Contact security
    • Check lost & found — please keep this all in one box.
    • Discuss consent — refer to our consent rules. If this does not cover what you need, please message on our WhatsApp Community or radio if assistance is urgent.
    • Charge a phone (limited number of plugs).

  • Parking Attendants

    Help guests to park neatly and efficiently in our main car park, and in Vehicle Camping.

  • Luggage Transporter

    Shuttle one of our quadbikes pulling a trailer of luggage to and from Campsites  1 to 6, and Glamping.

  • Campsite Coordinators

    We require one coordinator to manage the capacity and luggage drop offs for Campsites 1 to 6. 

  • Zone Manager

    One person will be assigned to roam The Village and another to raom The Playground.


    Your role is to:

    • Roam your designated zone (The Village or The Playground), checking in with anyone working (volunteers / staff / vendors) to see if they need anything.
    • Dispose of any rubbish.
  • Bar Tenders

    Suppport our Bar Managers in serving guests from either The Village Bar / The Playground Bar / Champagne & Toasties. 


    All Bar Tenders will need to meet at The Village Bar at 1pm on Friday 13th Feb for training.

  • Shuttle Bus Driver

    Drive our shuttle bus between the main car park and the festival entrance (through Glamping).


AFTER THE FESTIVAL

  • Builders

    Help to pack down the bars and bridges, and store furniture in the onsite container. 

  • Pack-down Helpers

    Anyone with reasonable organisational skills and strength, and are available to stay on for two days following the event.
